ouch

Well I did it. I was the first in my class to stick themselves accidentially with a needle. We were practicing recapping needles, and somehow my needle went through the protective cap. Well I didn't notice, picked up the needle, went to uncap it and ouch. Well at least the only thing I hurt was my pride. One good thing though, I immediatly told my instructor, and after finding out that it had just happened told the rest of the class that these things happen and they will not get upset or fail us if we immediatly tell them.

Arrrgh, I am soo frustrated with my work right now. I have been waiting for my paycheck to be deposeted for over a week now. I hope they get the problem fixed soon. I just want my money. I just wonder if I will get this paycheck before my next one.

Second week of classes done

Well, I have been a busy kit. I just finished my second week of nursing classes. I have read close to 300 pages, and I am still about 200 pages behind where I should be. At least labor day weekend is almost upon us, I should be able to catch up and maybe get ahead. If I read about 350-450 pages before monday I should be in a good spot. Well I guess this will be a good weekend to stay in my pajamas and read.

Take care all,
PJ

Well, I start January 7th. I have been accepted and will be getting my prerequisites for nursing finished in the first year, and then on to the nursing program. I will also be moving in with my mate, another first for me. I finally realized it was time for a change in my life, hopefully it will be a good one.

Wish me luck,
PJ

I know this is going to sound petty

Well I am upset at work again. Today is my birthday, and when it is someones birthday here the company I work for has something waiting for them when they come in. The gift is usually not much, but it is still nice that they do it. So I come in today, and what is there? Nothing, absolutely nothing. And to topp it off, only one person in the office even said happy birthday to me, and it is one of the guys who works for me. Like I said, I know it sounds petty, but I am still upset about it.

Seriously Pissed Off

Ok, the company I work for has done something that has seriously pissed me off. They cut my pay $12,000 a year, they let most of my department go, and they have cut my hours back. I'll admit at this point I was upset, but not seriously pissed off yet. Tonight when I was leaving I ran into two of the three owners of the company, and usually they will say Hi, or some small talk, but not tonight. Tonight they saw me, looked away, and did not say a single word to me. I can understand the cut in pay with business being slow, however I can not help but get pissed that they would not even look me in the eye tonight, or say anything to me. Well, I think that it is now time to start looking for a new job.

Well, I guess that's what seven years of dedicated work and comitment are worth, not even an acknowledgement of my being alive.

Talk with my mate

Well I was talking with my mate a litle while ago, and I think that I am converting him to the dark side. We have been talking about concealed weapons and permits, and I think that I just about have him convinced on getting his concealed weapons permit. now, all I need to do is get him in one of the classes, and find a nice .38 revolver. Anyone have any ideas? I showed him a few pictures of different guns, and he thinks he wants something in the 2"-3" barrel range.

Practice Practice Practice

Well, I finally got a chance to go out this weekend and shoot my Glock 23. After firing 150 rounds, I came to two conclusions:
1) I need more practice with firing a handgun.
2) If I ever have to use my gun in self defense, the person is going to get a .40 cal neutering.

I am not saying that I am a horible shot, since every shot did manage to hit the target. The only thing is, well, I seem to shoot low. My stepfather went to the range with me, and has given me a few pointers...evidentially, my arm is too tense when I shoot, and I seem to anticipate the recoil. Now hopefully I will be able to get back to the range and practice practice practice.

Pissed Off

Ok, a bit of a rant here, so if you do not want to read it, please ignore.

For those of you that know me, you know that when I was in college, I was a theology major (at least to start with) The other day I heard someone argue against gays, and calling us sodimites. I just have one thing to say to that, read the Bible. Guess what, the stories of Sodom and Gomorrah have nothing to do with gay people, NOTHING AT ALL!!!
The story is about people not being hospitable to people who have come to the city. Where does all of this come from, how can such a drastic mistake be made. Quite easily with two reasons, intolerance and selective translations. The line that they are referring to, in English, referres to the people approaching the house and wanting to "know" the visitors. Guess what, this does not mean know as in to have sex (a different word would have been used if it was for sexual acts in that manner, shachabh, however the word yadha was used instead, a word that means "to get to know", or, "to find out about")

So, what does all of this mean, it means that when you threaten us, and call us Sodomites, you yourselves are guilty of being Sodomites....oh, and in the New Testiment even Jesus says the interpritation is about inhospitable people. The reason I am telling you this without the passages, is twofold. First, if you are going to argue that I am not part of your morality, I actually want you to read the book that you are using to judge me, not just handfed bits and pieces given in easy to digest mantras. Second, in the Bible, it is said that even the devil can quote the Bible for his own purposes. Therefore, I want you to keep this in mind, I am not quoting the Bible to you, I want you to find out for yourself, and in the proper contex. Remember this when all of these hate filled, misguided people, pick and choose quotes for their own purposes.

PJ

P.S. I will give you two hints as to where the passage is located. It is in the New Testiment, and you will find it is in one of the Gospels. I did not say that I would make it that easy on you.
Sorry for the lack of updates

Isn't it amazing how luck conspires against you at times? First, the keyboard on my laptop dies. I figure that a simple cleaning will suffice. I take the keyboard off (not an easy thing with a laptop), give it a good cleaning, reassemble, and still a malfunctioning keyboard. So, I run a few tests, and sure enough, there is a short somewhere on the board itself. Well, needless to say I am running on a juryrigged setup until my new keyboard arrives next week.

Well, a few days later I am up visiting my boyfriend and I start feeling kinda lousy. Next day I feel even worse, and I figure that I have a cold. Day after that, I feel horrible, kinda strange for me since I usually get over most colds/flus in 2 days. Well, the next morning I wake up and I am in really bad shape, even debating on going to the hospital. Well instead of going there, I go to a walk in clinic (and because my insurance say's that I am out of area, I pay almost full price for the visit). Lo and behold, I have a nasty lung infection. So, after two weeks of bed rest, and heavy medication, I finally make it back to work.

So, I finally get back to work, and my department is a mess. Most of the employees that I have working for me did the bare minimum while I was out, if even that. Needless to say, this is something that will be remembered when it is time for employee evaluations. So, now a week after being in the office, everything is just about caught up to where it was when I left.

The only good thing that came out of this was that I got to spend nearly 2 weeks with my boyfriend.

Well gotta run,
PJ

Well, this is my first post. I have heard a lot about livejournal and decided to give it a try. Well I don't know what to say, so here is a little bit about me.

Hello, I am PJ. To those of you that know kidfurs, I am a 5yo little red fox. I am rather shy, but playful once you get to know me. You will often see me sitting around and watching cartoons, or playing video games in my footie pajamas, overalls, or just my underwear.

RL I am 28 and work with computers for a living, some programming, some repair work, and managing data.

Well, I hope that I will make some new friends.

PJ
